
Godfrey Ngunyi Mute, born in 1968 in Nyeri, Naromoru location. I schooled in Irigithathi Primary School, joined Meru Technical form one and two, transferred to Machakos Technical in form three and four to pursue Mechanical Engineering course. Joined High school to pursue form five and six in Chavakali High School and completed in Nanyuki Boys. I joined Kenya Science Teachers college and later University of Nairobi where I completed my Degree Courses up to Doctor of philosophy in Business Administration, Specializing in Human Resource Management. I taught in Matongo High School In Nyamira County, Kamune High School in Murang’a County and later joined Kabete National poly Technic in both Business and applied Science Department at a level of Principal Trainer and later appointed the level of Deputy Head of Department in Business department, Chairman of the business trainers welfare association and secretary to the road safety committee. In the time of my career I have lectured as a part-time lecturer or invited lecturer in the University of Nairobi, Multimedia university and Kiriri women university. I have presented international research paper on road safety in Netherland
(Hague) among others local presentation. Besides I have done four publication.
Abstract
The research paper established effect of principal facial expression, personality, organization interactive justice and organization citizenship behavior on students’ enrolment and KCSE mean score in secondary schools in Nairobi. Research method involved positivist’s research philosophy, descriptive and cross section research design. A census sampling method was used. 55 secondary schools were considered and 278 teachers were used as the respondence. Linear simple, step by step and path regressions were used in the data analysis. The findings confirmed hypothesis (H1) that: There is a significant relationship between principal’s facial expression and performance of secondary schools in Nairobi.The study concluded that, the joint effect of principal facial expression, organization interactive justice, principal’s personality and organization citizenship behaviour did not have a significant effect on school enrolment and KCSE mean score. The study contributed to policy by indicating that the schools’ principals should be sensitive about their emotions, reflected on their facial expression. The study recommended that, Facial expression is an important nonverbal communication tool and should be used by education leaders to enhance secondary schools performance. Further study of facial expression was recommended to be done in other learning institution, organization where face to face interaction is used.
