Nashon Osore is a CPA (K) currently working as a Finance Officer in one of the State Departments of the National Government. He specializes in the programme based budget making process in the financial sector his State Department belongs. He was key in the implementation of the e-promis system for project management in the Ministry of Lands. He offers direction to the youth in his neighborhood and is an advocate for education to better oneself. He is a dedicated, diligent and humble individual with an astute sense of leadership both at work and at the family level. He recently delved into the business world and has so far shown great success. He boosts of many other achievements. He is a spiritual individual and gives credit of his successes to the Most High God.

Abstract

The major purpose of budget allocations is to ensure that the public is effectively and efficiently allocated with limited resources so that their needs can be served and desired outcomes achieved. The society relies upon the government to improve the quality of theory lives through the resources they have and from international assistance. The objective of the study was to examine the determinants of budgetary allocation among government ministries. Descriptive study design is the approach used in the research study. The1 population1 of1 the1 study1 comprised1 all1 the1 21 ministries. Secondary1 data1 collection1 method was used1 in1 this1 study. 1 Data was collected for the period between the years 2014 to 2018 for comparative purposes. SPSS1 version1 221 was1 utilized1 for1 the1 analysis1 of1 the1 collected1 data. 1 Descriptive1 statistics1 were1 utilized1 to1 summarize1 the1 collected1 data. 1 This1 included1 standard1 deviation1 and1 mean. The study concludes that expenditures have a positive influence on budgetary allocation among government ministries in Kenya. Increase in public revenue was confirmed to cause an increase in the budgetary allocation among government ministries in Kenya. Program Based Budgetary showed a positive impact on budgetary allocation. In addition, foreign aid showed a positive impact on budgetary allocation. The study recommends that success rates in the expenditure should be considered during budget allocations. The study recommends that the government should emphasis on meeting the funding targets that instruct government agencies to limit their budget requests by specific amounts.
