SITTING OF END OF SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS - JANUARY - JULY 2020 SEMETER

This to bring to the attention of all students that after an initial evaluation and monitoring of the ongoing online examinations by the School Management, the following issues have been identified for urgent attention of the concerned students and course lecturers:

  1. The Dean’s office has received several requests from students indicating inability to sit for the ongoing end semester examinations. Please note that the examinations regulations require that an individual student unable to sit end of semester exams, formally writes to the Dean and Chair of the respective Department, giving justifiable reasons, with evidence for inability to take end of semester examinations prior to the date the specific exam(s) is offered. The School will handle such requests on case by case basis.

  1. Further, it has been observed that students who either did not register for courses or have not met the two thirds (2/3) lecture attendance requirement, have presented themselves to sit end of semester examinations. The School will only process end of semester examinations results strictly for those who meet the requisite class attendance. Further, end of semester results will be processed and released, subject to availability of coursework marks.

NB:  Students with technical or administrative challenges during the exam period should henceforth use the following email address to file their issues for prompt action by our staff: bushelp@uonbi.ac.ke.
