We forge partnerships with world-class institutions both locally and internationally in line with the University of Nairobi’s vision of being a world-class center of academic excellence. Below are some the organizations that we have partnered with over the years.

 

1. Association of African Business Schools

The School remains an active member of the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) which acts as a benchmarking body for business schools across the continent.

 

2. Barclays Bank

READY TO WORK

The School has a collaboration with the Barclays Bank, where the bank has sponsored an Endowed Chair to in the Department of Finance and Accounting.

3. GfK Verein

The GfK Verein is the 4th largest marketing research  organization in the world, and sees itself primarily as an organization to further the fundamental knowledge required to research markets worldwide.

4. Kenya Revenue Authority

KRA

The Kenya Revenue Authority has a collaboration  with  the University of Nairobi in offering the following programmes through the School of Busines, Department of  Finance and Accounting:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Taxation
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Customs Administration and Border control
  • Diploma in Revenue Administration
  • Certificate programme in  Revenue Administration

5. Makerere University, Business School

The School is collaboration with University of Dar es Salaam ,Business  School and Makerere University ,  Business School  in organizing Operations Research Society of Eastern Africa ( ORSEA)  conferences .

6. Sokoni Magazine

Sokoni is Kenya's premier marketer's Journal, Sokoni,the official bi-monthly magazine for the Marketing Society of Kenya(MSK),provides original,knowledge based content relevant to the industry's professionals on current marketing practices,issues and trends;management and leadership strategies;and business developments.The magazine is distributed across all Individual,Associate,Corporate and partner MSK organizations throughout Kenya,the eastern and southern Africa Region,and will also be available at retail outlets to the general public and globally via the Online Edition effective May 2012

Sokoni would like to interest the School of Business-University of Nairobi in contributing articles on any tropical business or marketing -related issue(s).These may also include articles on related on-going or planned events.Contributions from the Dean ,School of Business on any Topical Business/Marketing issue are also welcome.

7. Switzerland Management Center University

Switzerland Management Center University (SMC University), is a Switzerland based institution  focused on delivering online based asynchronous education programmes to a worldwide audience; and has the objective to deliver  its programmes to Kenyan students; to expand its competencies in e-Learning to other universities through  mutual cooperation programs.

The programs offered will be Master of Science (MSc) in the following specializations 

Master of Science In Human Resource ManagementEntreprenuership And Innovations Management and Doctorate programme in each of the above specialization.

8. University of Dar es Salaam Business  School

School has collaboration with University of Dar es Salaam Business  School and Makerere University   Business School  in organizing Operations Research Society of Eastern Africa ( ORSEA)  conference .

9. College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS)

Department of Business Administration has a collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVS) to offer seed marketing and seed business management, through Seed Enterprise Management Institute (SEMIs).

Under the collaboration, Department of Business Administration participates in training people from all over Africa, on how to market and manage seed businesses.

11. GFK

The department collaborates with GfK (Growth from Knowledge), a Seeding Marketing Research Organization, in offering the MSc in Marketing programme.  This programme was launched in 2012, and the pioneer students are now in their second semester.  The program has four areas of specialization, namely; Global Marketing, Marketing Research, Brand & Sales Management and Retail Management.  GfK is mainly interested in the marketing research specialization.

12. SMC University 

The department collaborates with SMC University of Switzerland to offer MSc and Doctorate programs through E-Learning.  Initially, MSc in Entrepreneurship and MSc in Human Resource Management will be offered.

SMC will be responsible to develop an e-learning portal for use by the students, which University of Nairobi is responsible for marketing and branding of the programme.

13. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Department of  Finance and Accounting: is colaborating with  KRA in  offfering the  following programmes.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Administration
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Customs Administration
  • Diploma in Tax Administration
  • Certificate in Customs Administration

14. Shanghai Finance University

The University of Nairobi, School of Business and the Department of Finace and Accounting  have a collaboration with  Shanghai Finance University  and they are committed to promote 2+2 Program.

Recently the Dean, School of Business, Stephen Nzuve, Chairman, Department of Finance and Accounting , Dr. Josiah Aduda, and Director, Centre for International Programmes and Links Prof.  S.E.O. Mitema visited Shanghai Finance University in China.
